The first step in overcoming your anxiety.

The first step to overcoming anxiety is to be aware of it. Sounds simple huh? Well we’re not trying to be cute. What we mean is it’s important to make sure that when you feel anxious, you analyze how you are feeling. What are you thinking, what are your symptoms, are you able to function, are you repressing the feeling or is it manifesting in some way are all good questions to begin with. Keep an anxiety journal with you. It’s especially helpful in determining patterns. And since these patterns are learned, we can begin to understand how to unlearn them. Take the time to review your journal every week and know that it’s OK to feel these feelings because they are going to help you understand your anxiety.
