How long before I have a nocturnal emission?
I’m a fundamentalist Christian and I have not masturbated in five days. I believe that it is a sin. My body is begging for a release. I’m very hopeful that I will ejaculate in my sleep very soon. What is the average length of time before I have a nocturnal emission?

It may never happen, I’m 34 and never have had one. There’s no sure way of getting one, it just doesn’t happen for some people.

Theres not reallly an estimated time or an average length of time, you have about almost ten erections per night, and with so many it could happen at any time. i might never happen. it could happen tonite, so you just never kno

Some people never have nocturnal emissions at all, and in any case their frequency is not necessarily linked to whether you masturbate or not. Having looked at your Profile, and the blog to which it links, I believe you would find this site very helpful:

There is no doubt that lust is a sin, but have a look at

http://www.thebodyissacred.org/body/fantasy.asp
where it is explained that "The Hebrew word for ‘lusting after’ (chamad) means a desiring that includes the intention to take and appropriate a property". Most males who think about a pretty girl when masturbating have not the slightest intention of having sex with her - it’s just a harmless daydream.
My work brings me into contact with people of all ages and backgrounds. I’ve seen a lot of boys brought up in good Christian homes to accept masturbation as good and healthy; they’ve all been happy, friendly kids, and turned out fine. That has been a great help to me in forming a positive attitude to the practice.
I see that you have been battling with porn; there’s a world of difference between explicit porn, and a tastefully sexy image like:

Those pictures show nothing more than you could see on a public beach; it’s all in the presentation. I hope these thoughts and links will help.
