Today We Exercise

Today is the day that I start over completely. I had my last “bad meal” last night and am ready today to eat healthy and nutritious meals. I am starting out the day with a day long fast to cleanse my system out and then this evening I will have a healthy meal that will rival the
Nutrisystem diet program. After that, my wife and I are scheduled to go for an afternoon walk or bike ride. I think it will do us both some good and allow us to get fit and catch up on some conversations about a variety of topics.

My Daughter’s Oatmeal Challenge

Recently my daughter had a blood test and we discovered that her blood sugar was high as well as her cholesterol levels. Today was the first day on her semi diet plan and I must say she did not do so well. You would have thought she was eating prepackaged foods from Medifast.

This morning rather than a breakfast of eggs and sausage, she was given oatmeal. You should have seen the look on her face. Needless to say that after 30 minutes of whining and crying the oatmeal was still there. Oh well, there is always tomorrow because whether she knows it or not, oatmeal is now a permanent part of the menu.

It Just Wasn’t The Same

I have not had a burger and fries from McDonald’s in about 7 months. Well, yesterday we were running late for a meeting and we had to stop by the infamous McDonald’s. Now let me say that if you are on any type of diet program similar to the Medifast diet I would certainly not encourage you to frequent McDonald’s.

Fortunately I am not on a diet so it was okay for me. The thing was though that the food did not taste as good as I remember. The fries were hard, the soda was flat and the burger was dry. Oh well I guess tomorrow is another day.

They said that drinking tea can help you lose some weight coz it will burn the fat in the food that you take also tea is an anti oxidant which is also good for your health. However this is not enough if I plan to shed more weight I need to start playing basketball or workout so that I can return to my old figure.

I am not much of a prayer guy but I found out that prayer does work. So I got myself to make a prayer for every major activities, especially with my workout. You don’t have to copy mine as you can make one for your self. Here is how it usually goes. First thank whoever it is you are praying to, mine is God, for giving you a healthy to perform your workouts. Second is to ask strength so that you can overcome the difficulty that you will meet along the way.

With this simple prayer I have been able to get great results with my Air Climber. Lost a lot of pounds and made my body leaner.
