How many newspaper/magazine pages would i have to recycle to offset my cars CO2 emissions?
I have a Peugeot 306 1.9 diesel car. This is 11 yrs old and the handbook says it emits 165g of CO2 per KM. I have a journey of 13 miles to get to work with is mostly extra urban driving at 60mph. How many newspaper /magazine pages would i have to recycle to offset the CO2 from a return journey to work?
You would do more for you carbon foot print by reading online or borrowing magazines from the library. I consider myself pretty eco friendly, but I’ve never tried to figure out what trade offs I need to make to offset certain activities. Instead I look at various areas of my life to see where I can make better choices. Driving a car for 11 years is an earth friendly choice, most eco people agree it is better for the environment to drive a car until it dies than to buy a new one every few years.
Don’t know, because recycling paper is expensive, and causes CO2. Better not to buy them in the first place.

We all must have to use Natural products and try to aware masses to use Natural things instead of chemical made things.
For that we are trying to make an online community "Eco Friendly Forum" to put our share to SAVE Mother Nature from pollution. Do you want to put your share? Please log on site below and go to Eco friendly forum to join and add your share!

Co2 is not a polluting item it is only a natural plant food and causes absolutely no environmental problems so do not worry about that. The pollutant produced from most diesel fuels that harms the worlds environment is so2 or sulfur dioxide. Silly poorly educated liberals that paid some better educated conservative to take their tests for them made this mistake many years ago and it continues amongst the liberal community today. Conservatives do not make this mistake because they really studied the courses instead of paying someone better educated to take their examinations for them. Co2 is only a natural plant food that nature stores in the worlds oceans during cold periods and releases it into the atmosphere to feed plant growth when the sun warms the world up as it has over the last 300 or so years. Get and education and study your own work instead of being a silly liberal and paying somebody else to do your school work.

The real problem is that those who promote the AGW agenda know very little about science and how things really work. The sun is the source of 98% of the energy that warms the earth.

The motto is "reduce, reuse, recycle." Reduction in consumption is obviously the best way to reduce your CO2 impact, but if you have to buy it, reuse it if possible. Recycling has the least positive impact of the three approaches and does not offset your CO2 emissions from driving. In order to recycle you have to consume in the first place, so you are only offsetting to some extent the carbon emissions related to whatever it was you consumed. But you’re driving a small diesel car, and diesel gas has largely been cleaned up in western countries and gets better gas mileage, so you’re doing pretty well as it is in my opinion.
