What is the process of car emission testing? and what is its purpose?


The EPA (environmental protection agency) lists the automobile as the largest source of pollutants in the air, and that is the reason behind the emission testing in several states, based on federal standards.

  2. There’s a diagnostic machine they hook up to the vehicle to measure the amount of fumes being released from the car. The purpose is to make sure there aren’t too many fumes being released into the environment.
