What is the conservative alternative solution to carbon emissions?

Posted on December 30th, 2009 by admin

Conservatives oppose cap and trade, a measure which will gradually reduce green house gasses to just above pre-industrialization levels. However they propose no alternatives. How would conservatives go about reducing carbon emissions.

Man made global warming is not true. Therefore, there is no need to reduce carbon emissions.

How can I become a carbon emissions trader?

Posted on December 27th, 2009 by admin

I want to trade in carbon emissions or set up my own trading company. What should I do to achieve the same? I have a bachelors degree in Economics.

Carbon Emission trading schemes aren’t set up in any country that I know of as of yet.
My first tip for you is to wait and see where the governments of the world are going to take their individual policies before diving in to something.
One line of attack is if permits or quotas are released, buying quotas for specific un-used tons off smaller firms and reselling them to larger, more polluting ones such as Rio Tinto might be the way to go.

Could it be that the Democrats are aware how the European Carbon Credit Trading is Plagued by Massive Fraud?

Posted on December 24th, 2009 by admin

That’s likely the reason they lust to have it in their clutches, so as to rob from us so much the more.

Reporter Soeren Kern reports today:

The European Union’s flagship cap-and-trade carbon credit trading system is plagued by massive fraud and is effectively under the control of organized crime, according to a December 9 statement issued by European police. Europol, an EU-wide criminal intelligence agency similar to the U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigation, says bogus trading at the EU’s Emission Trading Scheme (ETS) has exceeded €5 billion (U.S.$7 billion) over the past 18 months alone. Europol says that in some EU countries, up to 90 percent of the entire market volume is fraudulent.

If it isn’t on TMZ, the Daily Show or grocery store tabloids, they don’t know about it.

My car failed the emission test 3 times with codes p0136,P0141,P0171 what does this mean & how can i fix it?

Posted on December 24th, 2009 by admin

I have a 2000 Ford Focus Lx, I took the car for a diagnostic test and it read that i needed the rear 02 sensor, so to be safe i replaced both and the car still failed. I also recently had a tune up and the EGR replaced, What could be the underlying problem?

oxygen sencer, its off the exhaust manifold,or where ever on the exhaust squirt the hell out of it with wd-40
and take it off, shouldn’t be to hard

How much does it cost to make a zero emission car?

Posted on December 24th, 2009 by admin

I need it for school and please leave a source

Google "Land Yacht" and find out from there. No other vehicle is truly zero emissions.

**EDIT**

OK, so my answer was perhaps a bit flippant.

However, at what point do we say that something with "zero emissions" is "green". Your house may not give off any emissions, but the energy you use at home has been generated at a power plant somewhere that almost certainly gives off emissions. Energy usage at home certainly isn’t "green" or "zero emissions" if your grid is supplied by a dirty great coal-fired power plant, even though it might be 50 miles away and you can’t see the smoke from the stacks.

Likewise, hydrogen fuel cells are not "green" and, because of the way that commercial quantities of hydrogen are produced, will not wean us off our dependency on oil (and how many people thought that it was produced by electrolosis of water…?). All it does is move the emissions and energy input away from the point of use to the point of manufacture. As we see more and more vehicles powered this way the global demand for hydrogen will increase and people will be blinded to the real cost of this form of "green" transportation. What will happen is that people will seize on the so-called "zero emissions" credentials of hydrogen fuel cell cars to assuage their guilt about the environment because all that comes out the exhaust is water vapour and will use them more and more when perhaps their journeys are not essential or could be made by some other means. Quite honestly, I believe that hydrogen fuel cells are a blind alley.

In the short-term, the best solution would be a battery-electric vehicle charged from a renewable energy source, such as a wind turbine. The long-term solution is to change people’s expectations of personal mobility and their travel patterns.

What are US goals for reducing total domestic CO2 emissions?

Posted on December 24th, 2009 by admin

In percentage, if possible.
Thank you!
Only for CO2 emissions please. Not overall greenhouse gases.

In percentage, if possible.

Thank you!

The U.S and China plan to limit Carbon Dioxide waste given off by both their nations. These two nations are the biggest polluters on the Earth. The most recent U.N meeting the U.S representatives agreed to cut emissions by nearly 37 percent for the near future. China has already cut by 50%.

What percent of carbon emissions reduction do we need?

Posted on December 24th, 2009 by admin

People are burning cars in Copenhagen because the US did not pledge enough reduction in emissions.
How bad is the situation, and how drastic do we need to get to fix it? Do we all need to commit mass suicide so that only plants and animals survive? Can it be done without destroying the economy?

Why are the glaciers melting in Alaska??
Ask the people of Alaska. I did
The reason the glaciers are melting is because of the volcano’s that have erupted.
The ash from the volcano’s land on the glaciers,, the ash is dark, because it’s dark,it absorbs heat from the sun. Thus the ice melts.
To stop the melting,, stop the volcano’s from erupting.

How about those pockets of methane gas in the oceans,,if they erupt, the methane gas will be so strong that it will kill all living things on earth, How do you propose we stop that from happening??

Humans & animals exhale CO2, plants take in CO2,, Plants give off oxygen.
Cut off the CO2 to the plants and see what happens.

Al Gore took "his" private jet to Copenhagen,,,I wonder what his Carbon foot print was???

is the emission system on a 1988 toyota 4runner esential or can they be removed?

Posted on December 24th, 2009 by admin

I am having trouble obtaining parts and just want to get my truck up and running. The egr vacuum modulator has a broken connection. I am also getting a little tired of replacing vacuum hoses. If I can just rip out the emission system it would be great plus it would get rid of a lot of clutter in the engine room.

is your 4rnr a V6 3.0L engine,or a 22RE 2.4L.?if its a 22RE there are lots of aftermarket conversions for your engine.for example webber makes a carb and intake combo ,that will get rid of all that clutter. also check out holley they have some stuff that’l bolt on w/adapters to your 22RE motor.also headers that dont have that annoying tube that runs aroun your moter to join with that egr…look in mini truckin mag for some ideas and sources.

What is the latest year model of a car or truck that an individual can legally remove the emission controls?

Posted on December 14th, 2009 by admin

Like catalitic converters, EGR valves, air pumps. In the US.

It is NOT illegal for the owner to modify his own car. However, it probably won’t pass required testing if it is mandated for where you live. On the other hand, it IS illegal for a shop to do it. Last I heard it was a $10,000 fine and 6 months in jail for a mechanic that does it.

Emission test help. I got a 93 Mercury Topaz that had high NoX. What should I do?

Posted on December 14th, 2009 by admin

Yes, the EGR is the most likely cause. Other causes are a bad catalytic converter, of a high operating temperature caused by a faulty thermostat, low coolant, or a cooling fan not working.
