carbon trading / emissions trading schemes?

Quite simply, what are they and how do they work ?
Emissions trading (or emission trading) is an administrative approach used to control pollution by providing economic incentives for achieving reductions in the emissions of pollutants. It is sometimes called cap and trade.

My car has emission control problems, is this a major problem? car need a manifold and head gaskets , what?

my car needs a manifold and gasket ,what does that usually run?
Depends on the car what the cost would be, but it isn’t going to be cheap. If you need head gaskets and a manifold, you may be better off looking for a new motor at a parts yard. It may even be cheaper.

Should we lower our emission standards for cars in the U.S.?

How in the world are auto manufacturers going to decrease CO2 emissions from cars?

I mean isn’t that what you get when you burn gas? The whole idea is stupid. Carbon Dioxide isn’t a pollution!
Correction: Smartypants: We have never regulated Carbon Dioxide before. We have regulated Carbon Monoxide and other gases, but not Carbon Dioxide.

Is there an enzyme or catalyst that acts on NOx emissions?

Aside from Palladium and Rhodium, are there any other catalysts or enzymes (better if they were enzymes) that act on 2NO => N2 + O2 and/or 2NO2 => N2 + 2O2?
The can be made of many other metals. The question is how they work compared to the precious metal catalysts. The reference [...]
